Will globalisation survive?

Some economists worry that the current crisis could spell the beginning of the end of globalization. Do you agree? Why? Why not?
Listen to what The Daily Star observer tells about it and compare with your ideas.Use the link Globalisation in Supplementary Materials.

  1. I don't think that globalisation won't survive. Of course world financial crisis influences on globalisation, but it can't stop it. It's quite normal that some countries use policy of protectionism during crisis time. But such measures are temporary and after a while countries will try to cooperate again. Such cooperation in trade will lead to uniting of countries and that is globalisation. To my mind within next 10 years we will have seen what real globalisation is .
Thanks to The Daily Star observe's speech I looked at globalisation from a different angle. I never thought that natural disasters and epidemics can be considered as globalisation. But it is really so. It's a pity to say, but all countries equally suffer from global problems. You know that calamities unite people and global calamities unite countries. It is another way of globalisation, something like a natural globalisation. That is why I can say that current crisis can't stop globalisation, it's just a part of it and of course globalisation will survive.

  2. GLOBALISATION WILL SURVIVE.
Is it bad or not? I'll try to answer.
Some years ago we dreamt about globalisation and everybody thought that it will have positive influence on economic. Developed countries invested money in the trird word countries. We just made everything connected. It resulted in crisises which are not local.
There are some pros and cons.On the one hand now goverments returned to protectionisn policy and the level of comoetition on the world market became lower therefore the quality of goods decreased. On the top of that they stoped credit financing of scientific progects, backward countries, taking measures to contend ith ecological problems and so on. I consider that in future we will suffer from natural disasters.
On the other hand globilisation make everything profitable for companies which managed to use poor countries. They located harmful manufacturies "to create workplaces....", used cheap workforce and so on...Despite this fact such manufacturies are legal(((
In my opinion globalisation has no positive thing exept developing of science and all over word communication.
But it will survive. By 2012 we'll have coped with financial cricis, countries'll have narket wars. We'll have forgotten about mistaces and will declare world globalisation...
